Black Russian Terriers has a lot of hair that needs a lot of brushing and care. I recomend to brush your dogs coat every day, It will be much easier to keep the coat in good condition if you brush and comb it every day. 

 And it will not take much time eighter , if you find a good routine for it, it will be fast and efficient and you will not have to worry about loose hair that very easily can create  knots. 

When combing your Blackie pay extra attention to the beard  and the long hair on the legs. Also make sure to comb and brush  from the roots of the hair and the skin and all the way out.

You also need to give your dog a bath every 2 weeks , and a good  hair cut. I normally wash and dry in one day and the next day I cut the hair.  For show preparasjon I like to have 2-3 days for cutting the hair.

It is very important to use the right shampoo and conditioner, it will make brushing much easier.

If you dont want to cut the hair yourself you need to find a groomer that knows the breed to do it for you, and you have to be ready to pay for it to.
